Cryptotricity Ltd, trading as Tricity Labs ("Tricity Labs", "we", "our", "us"), company number NI738544, incorporated under the Companies Act 2006 (5 March 2026), is the data controller for the purposes described below. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data in connection with the Tricity Labs platform and website (tricitylabs.com).
Smart meter data is accessed through our data partner under a read-only, GDPR-compliant consent agreement. Consent is explicit, granular, and separate from general platform terms. You may withdraw consent at any time; data access ceases immediately. Sensor data (temperature, humidity, occupancy) is aggregated at property level — your housing association sees conditions, not personal behaviour.
We do not sell personal data. We share property-level conditions and welfare flags with the relevant housing association or landlord. We share anonymised, aggregated data with funders and regulators only where required for evidence submission (for example, Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund reporting) or by law.
Under UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@tricitylabs.com.
Tricity Labs uses Google Tag Manager for analytics. We use only strictly necessary cookies unless you have consented to analytics cookies via our cookie banner. You may withdraw cookie consent at any time via your browser settings.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Consent records are retained for seven years for regulatory compliance.
